YAF: BUILDS - Ironworkers Hands-On with The Builders

Join the AIA Kansas City Young Architects Forum (YAF) and The Builders Association for the next session in the YAF: Builds series—a hands-on learning experience with the Ironworkers Local 10 at The Builders Training Center in North Kansas City.

Participants will gain firsthand insight into the craft and training behind steel construction through guided demonstrations and interactive activities led by local trade professionals. The session will conclude with a happy hour in the Career Development & Exploration Center, offering time to connect with peers and industry leaders.

3:00 - 4:00 PM - Hands-on session with Ironworkers Local 10
4:00 - 4:30 PM - Building tours and wrap-up
4:30 - 5:30 PM - Happy hour in the Career Development & Exploration Center

Registration & Requirements

Attendance is limited to 35 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. All attendees must wear closed-toe shoes, safety glasses, and a hard hat. If you do not have safety glasses or a hard hat, please contact Emily or Jake prior to the event.
