The Mary Atkins Lecture: Annabelle Selldorf

Annabelle Selldorf is the founder and Principal of Selldorf Architects, an internationally recognized firm based in New York City whose work has been described as “a kind of gentle modernism of utter precision, with perfect proportions.”

Since its founding in 1988, Selldorf Architects has designed an impressive range of art spaces including the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, The Frick Collection, The Clark Art Institute, and Neue Galerie New York. In addition, the firm has created numerous galleries for David Zwirner, Hauser & Wirth, and Gladstone Gallery among others, and designed exhibitions for Frieze Masters and the Venice Art Biennale.

Selldorf is also a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA) and the recipient of the 2016 AIANY Medal of Honor.
