This program is being offered as a hybrid program. You may attend either in person or on Zoom.
Join Devinci Precast for this this program that will go over Architectural Precast Concrete, Cast Stone and GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete). It will look at the manufacturing processes; applications for different scenarios and products that fit those scenarios; typical installation procedures for the different products; and advantages of using certain products to fit field applications.
At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
Identify the three main types of architectural precast concrete; generally explain how they are made and the advantages of using them in new building and restoration projects
Demonstrate how architectural precast concrete products can create efficiencies in the scheduling and construction of entire buildings, building components, hardscapes and decorative accents
Recognize why architectural precast concrete products can help a building project meet sustainability goals and leave a smaller environmental footprint than other building methods, and,
Discuss the inherent attributes of architectural precast concrete and show why it is specified to meet a range of construction needs, including structural, aesthetics, acoustics, fire and chemical resistance, low maintenance, resilience, and energy efficiency.
This program is worth 1 LU. Lunch will be provided for those who attend in person. For those who attend on Zoom, you must attend the full session to get AIA credit. If you leave the Zoom meeting early, no credit will be reported.
