This session will discuss prevention through design (PtD).  PtD, also called safety by design in Europe, is the concept of applying methods to minimize occupational hazards early in the design process, with an emphasis on optimizing employee health and safety throughout the life cycle of materials and processes.  Topics will include:

-Understanding of how design influences workplace safety.
-How design affects the ability to safely maintain a facility.
-How design affects the ability to safely construct a facility.
-Engage in a collaborative discussion with a local construction safety leader to foster new ideas.

This program is worth 1 LU .  You must attend the full session in order to get AIA credit.  If you leave the Zoom meeting early, no credit will be reported.
