REM: Film screening and Q&A with the Director

6:00 PM
Atkins Auditorium, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art | 4525 Oak Street Kansas City, MO 64111 Map

Architecture is usually filmed from the outside, as an inanimate object. REM uses an unconventional approach by combining the human stories and experience of both the legendary architect, Rem Koolhaas, and the users of his architecture. The film explores Koolhaas’ life, working methods, philosophy, and internal landscape, from a never-before-seen perspective of intimacy and immediacy. See how Rem’s ideas come to fruition in concrete and metal—some massive and some small—dotted all around the globe.

After the 75-minute screening, filmmaker Tomas Koolhaas—Rem’s son—will offer a Q&A session with the audience.

Registration is now open on the Museum’s website. Ticket prices:  $12/Museum member; $16/non-Museum member; $5/student

This exclusive Kansas City event is co-presented by AIA Kansas City and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
