Nooniversity: Concrete's Latest Innovations: Continual Foundations of Change

12:00 PM
Center for Architecture & Design | 1801 McGee St, Suite 100 Kansas City, MO 64108 Map

This program is being offered as a hybrid program. You may attend either in person or on Zoom.

Join Concrete Promotional Group, Inc. & NRMCA for this program. Concrete is the most widely consumed human produced material on Earth. This dominant role is responsible for its outsized impact on global warming potential. It will continue to remain literally and figuratively the foundational material for modern society. Recognition of its importance and necessity continues the emphasis in architecture and engineering to design and construct concrete buildings and infrastructure all having lower carbon footprint. This presentation explores the latest in new products, carbon reduction strategies, and low carbon procurement and investment models, all working to optimize the availability and distribution of low carbon concrete products and systems worldwide. Histories, compositions, and environmental impacts of these latest approaches are included along with case studies to show how innovation is being put into action.

This program is worth 1 HSW. Lunch will be provided for those who attend in person. For those who attend on Zoom, you must attend the full session to get AIA credit. If you leave the Zoom meeting early, no credit will be reported.
