THE PROJECT

The new Populous headquarters represents a defining moment in the evolution of the global design firm, relocating its Kansas City Headquarters to 1400 Baltimore Avenue in the heart of downtown. The vision was to craft an innovative, connected and people-centered environment that reflects Populous’ mission of designing the places where people love to be together.

Spanning more than 100,000 square feet across three floors, the headquarters embodies the firm's culture of collaboration, mentorship and entrepreneurial growth while supporting more than 400 employees with room to expand up to 550. Completed in September 2025, the office space contains more than 1,000 feet of pin-up boards and abundant collaborative areas, encouraging creativity and meaningful interaction at every turn.

Situated below fellow tenant Blue Cross Blue Shield KC and surrounded by shared amenities - including a conference center, gym, Starbucks café, full-service cafeteria, ten levels of parking, and a rooftop patio - the new office reinforces Populous’ commitment to creating dynamic, flexible environments that inspire both our people and our practice.
