Hufft Projects is a diverse design collective based in Kansas City with a passion for quality craftsmanship and a keen interest in the developing role of the designer and fabricator in the modern world.
We are currently seeking an experienced, design oriented individual to join our team as an architectural project designer. Our environment is collaborative and fast-paced, so strong communication skills are required. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to advance design and documentation, both individually and as a member of a team.
Additional Skills and Experience
• 5 years post-graduate professional experience required
• Must have proficiency and previous experience in Revit
• Proficiency in SketchUp, and Adobe Suite
• Portfolio that reflects a strong commitment to design excellence – portfolio must be provided for reference
• Strong graphic, visualization and presentation abilities preferred

I am ready to take my first real step in my architectural career, and my experience in the design field and my proficiency in relevant software has prepared me to do so as your next Intern Architect. I have experience as a full time designer in the custom residential pool and landscape industry. This has sharpened my skills at working with clients, surveying as-builts, drafting site plans, designing master plans, calculating job costs, and composing proposals. This work has required heavy use of AutoCAD in drafting clients’ sites to scale and designing custom pool/landscape schemes for their properties. I have furthered my talent with AutoCAD by completing freelance projects. I have drafted as-built floor plans and elevations for clients and their respective needs, created artistic elevations of friends’ and family members’ homes, and designed an exterior prayer space for my church.
