During this moderated panel discussion, preservation and historic rehabilitation experts will explore the impact of recent changes to extending the use of an historic building.
Topics to be addressed by the panelists:
• How does preservation and design address sustainability for physical, mental, social and economic well-being?
• What are some of the new design needs you are addressing thru preservation regarding accessibility, outdoor space, energy codes, etc.?
• How does a rehabilitated building reinforce the culture of the community or reflect how the community has changed?
• What will be the ripple effect of the rehabilitation project?
• What is the role of review boards now when a “temporary” change due to the pandemic has become permanent?
