Virtual Nooniversity: Understanding Behavior Styles at Work

People are complex, and gaining inside access and scientific data to what motivates and drives people’s behavior styles in the workplace is not only smart business but smart science. This presentation will summarize the data interpretation and knowledge behind the behavior science that is The Predictive Index (PI).
The PI assesses behavioral characteristics to assure; employees are hardwired to be a great company fit (culture), teams perform at their peak capacity, employees’ abilities align with job expectations, and leadership deeply understands their team (retainage). Based on four factors of personality; dominance (need to control), extraversion (need for social interaction), patience (need for stability), and formality (need to conform), the presentation will give a deep dive into team characteristics and behavior comparisons of an active high-profile project in Kansas City, as well as insight into your own behavior style.
The presentation will include:
• A summary of workplace behavior styles and rational behind why this information is important in forming successful project teams
• A personality comparison between Architects and Contractors
• Discussion on what makes and motivates strong project teams
• A comparison of corporate management and leadership styles
• Means for interpreting employee’s behavioral data and what this mean for recruiting and hiring efforts as well as project teams
• Discussion on mental energy levels and emotional decision-making factors
• Team work styles, communication, action-taking, and decision-making styles at work
The presentation will also include self-coaching tips and ways to implement this technology at your company.

This program is worth 1 HSW .  You must attend the full session in order to get AIA credit.  If you leave the Zoom meeting early, no credit will be reported.
