Join Kansas City Brick for this presentation on reinforced hollow clay masonry.

Using best practices, focusing mainly on the usage of large units and structural units, the participants will learn the concept of hollow clay masonry units and the design of structures, the moisture and thermal analysis concepts of brick masonry walls and the impact of the building's energy requirements. The participant will become knowledgeable about the environmentally friendly practices in the manufacturing process of hollow clay masonry units and the detailing of hollow clay masonry to construct long lasting, flexible and environmentally friendly buildings.

Topics will include:
Code compliance and ASTM
Detailing RHCM
Moisture Management and Thermal Properties
Life Cycle Cost Analysis and Wall cost
