FSC is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm, offering Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, Commissioning, and Code Consulting.  FSC will explain the process of Code development.  Our MEP group will describe available paths to achieve IECC compliance – options and their impacts on design.   Our Code group will identify significant changes between the 2012 and 2018 IBC to be aware of as the local municipalities begin to adopt the 2018 IBC.  One of the most significant changes relates to the purpose of a particular wall type.  The Code group will explain the different wall types in the IBC, how they are used, what is required for each wall type, with regards to openings, penetrations, HVAC, limitations and commonly missed items.
