Utilizing the SLAM technology, we will demonstrate the ease of data capture for existing conditions that can be used within BIM.  SLAM is an acronym for simultaneous localization and mapping, a technology whereby a robot or a device can create a map of its surroundings and orient itself properly within the map in real time.  The demand for up to date, accurate 3D models is greater than ever before. Traditionally creating these models was solely the domain of professional surveyors, but now engineers and geospatial professionals such as facilities managers and architects are all seeking ways to quickly and accurately create 3D models.
