Women in Design Kansas City Honored by the AIA National Diversity Recognition Program

The AIA National Diversity Recognition Program Jury has selected WiDKC’s submission, OUTREACH 2009-2010, to be acknowledged as a Diversity Best Practice for 2010.

This is the second year that WiDKC received this recognition. Their work will be recognized during a brief ceremony at the AIA 2010 National Convention and Design Exhibition in Miami.

In addition, there will be an announcement of the 2010 recipients in AIArchitect and via other AIA electronic media in mid-January.

Also in January, all of this year’s submissions will be posted to the Diversity and Inclusion web page of the AIA web site (http://www.aia.org/diversity) to serve as a reference for all members interested in learning and applying what their peers have done to help diversify the profession of architecture.
