Join Young Architect’s Forum for Cartesian Eco-Fem Darkanism, a lecture/performance event exploring the philosophy behind the green design movement.
Cartesian Eco-Fem Darkanism is presented by Black Lantern Synergy, a Portland, Oregon based organization dedicated to advancing environmental awareness. Through a lecture-exhibit series that blends academic research, poetic verse, natural imagery, and experiences in the American wilderness, they seek new ground in the social dialogue about the environment. With a thesis that began as an article in the Environmental Law journal, they seek to “not only re-think our current environmental conundrum, but to re-feel it.”
This event is free and open to the public.

Pecha Kucha is a casual gathering of artists, architects, and other creative people having a drink and sharing their ideas and latest projects in a quick presentation of 20 slides that advance automatically every 20 seconds; each presentation lasts only 6 minutes and 40 seconds! This method keeps both the presenters and the audience on their toes and exposes up to 14 presenters in one night (with a beer break in the middle, of course). It’s great! This event is a big hit across the globe, spreading to over one hundred cities on six continents!
