The maintenance of the financial viability of a professional services firm in challenging economic times is highly dependent on its ability to identify and manage the risk caused by instability in the firm, its clients, and the other stakeholders in its operations and projects. This program, led by Schinnerer Senior Vice President Kevin Collins and contributed to by Schinnerer risk management attorney, Frank Musica, will look at changes to firms, clients, and projects and provide information on how preparation and action can mitigate the resultant professional liability exposure. The program will examine the concerns of firms during downsizing, consolidation, winding down, or bankruptcy. It will look at the risks when an owner abandons a project or sells out its interest during design or construction and what a firm can do to reduce its exposure when a bankruptcy trustee or lender assumes control of a project. The webinar will also discuss the use of copyrights and document ownership as leverage for payment in suspension and termination scenarios.

This program is worth 1 LU and please feel free to bring your own lunch.
