Chow & Tell: BIM Case Study of the Kauffman Performing Arts Center

Resting within the newly revitalized Kansas City Live District, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts blends aesthetics and functionality for performance art. Constructed with structural steel, concrete, and glass, this spectacular building features a transparent lobby, which provides a 4-story open atrium for visitors. Building Information Modeling was utilized by the design and construction team to create 2-D and 3-D models. This collaboration enabled the coordination of complex systems throughout the building. This project could not have been constructed without the use of BIM. Learn more about BNIM’s and JE Dunn’s use of BIM as we present a “case study” of this project.

This program is worth 1 HSW and lunch will be provided.
