Event Details:

AIA Missouri Annual Meeting

AIA Missouri serves as the voice of the architect at the state level. By participating in the AIA Missouri Annual Meeting in Jefferson City you add strength to that voice. The day consists of a business meeting and legislative briefing, awards luncheon and visits with legislators to advocate on behalf of the profession. Our business meeting will include presentations by: AIA Missouri’s legislative consultant Kathi Harness, members of the State Registration Board as well Jeff Schaeperkoetter, Director of Missouri Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction. Learn about pending legislation on environmental sustainability, construction bond authority, design build for schools, and much, much more. We have also invited House Speaker Ron Richard to join us to give us more information on his call to action to renovate the state’s Capitol. He stated he has a plan for a $350 million charitable trust that would “rebuild and remodernize” the Capitol. We are hoping that his schedule will allow him the opportunity to give us more details.
