Academy for Sustainable Communities - Bright Futures Workshop

The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) is hosting a two-part workshop that will give people with a stake in energy issues the opportunity to help develop a regional framework that supports energy efficiency, energy conservation and renewable energy production in the Kansas City region.

Fee: None, but please make every effort to attend both sessions

Participants will learn from local and national experts the latest approaches to energy efficiency and conservation, including an overview of national trends and best practices in areas such as sustainable urban planning and design, green building and energy codes.

The sessions will explore using a systems-thinking approach and implementing best practices; adopting progressive codes, standards and incentives; partnering to find regional solutions and synergies; monitoring effectiveness; and promoting market transformation. Learn more or register.
