14th annual American Subcontractors Industry Awards Dinner

The KCASA would like to invite you to attend the 14th annual American Subcontractors Industry Awards Dinner, to be held at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park, Kansas, on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.

The Industry Awards honor businesses and individuals in the categories of General Contractor, Architectural Firm, Project Manager, Engineering Firm, Project Superintendent, ASA Subcontractor and ASA Associate Member of the Year.

The American Subcontractors Association mission is to amplify the voice of and leads trade contractors to improve the business environment for the construction industry and to serve as steward for the community. The Greater Kansas City Chapter represents all subcontractors, specialty trade contractors and suppliers by assisting members in operating their businesses through educational programs, industry liaisons, government advocacy, networking opportunities and member benefit programs. This year’s Master of Ceremonies will be the talented auctioneer and KUDL host, Tanna Guthrie!

We are honored to announce Kevin Klinkenberg, will be the guest speaker. Kevin is Principal and Co-Founder of 180 Urban Design & Architecture and is currently the President of AIA/Kansas City. He is a Fellow with the Knight Program in Community Building through the University of Miami and a member of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) since 1997. With 16 years of professional experience, Klinkenberg has become a Midwestern authority on planning and urban design, sitting on committees for the Mid America Regional Council, the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City and the Housing Choices Coalition. Klinkenberg is also a faculty member for the Form-Based Codes Institute and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Architecture & Urban Design. He is a Registered Architect in Missouri, Nebraska and California.
