Nominated for “SMALL Business of the Year 2011”. Owner, Darryl Hawkins, after 20 years in corporate architecture, working in 42 states, went where no seasoned architect is going today, back to the drawing boards, drawing by hand, even designing some of the largest solar arrays in town. Going from initial client mtg. to a complete permit set of drawings fast (by hand). You have to know what you’re doing. THAT’S fun. (PLAY+BUILD+LIVE) Darryl works (and plays) @ 52nd & Main. He is also an artist/musician, Sunday mornings you can hear him playing piano before church. Darryl was recently awarded the “Presidents Award” for 2010 from AIA Kansas City. Innovative Design & Renovation is the only firm in town that’s been nominated for “SMALL Business of the Year” 3 years running. Look for our public art installation near Gregory and Wornall come this May, 2011 for the Waldo CID.
