YAF Builds - Welding with the Carpenters Apprenticeship

6:00 PM
Carpenters Training Facility | 8955 E 38th Terrace Kansas City, MO 64129 Map

Join the AIA Kansas City Young Architects Forum (YAF) for the second in a series of hands-on training events - YAF: Builds.

**Please note the revised location and event information**

Similar to our first YAF: Builds event on the masonry trades, this event will explore the carpenters trade; We will specifically focus on the carpenters’ apprenticeship training offered at The Kansas City Carpenters Training Facility, and explore how we as design professionals can better integrate our own experience with the men and women fabricating and erecting our designs. Bob Hale, Director of Training, will facilitate a short presentation with panel discussion, a facility tour, and several hands-on training exercises, including welding.

Please make sure to wear jeans and sturdy leather footwear for the hands-on training exercises.

Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
**This event is approved for 2 LUs.**
